Can anyone give me advice on step by step how to open a fashion/modeling agency in New York?
I have a non profit agency currently that runs a charity fashion program for youth... I want to branch off and start a for-profit modeling agency in the 5 boroughs of NYC. Obviously not as big as Ford and Elite but it is an area I want to venture into. You need to speak with the Small Business Administration because NY has so many different rules, regulations and licensing requirements for talent agencies. There are laws regarding how much commission you can charge, how you need to employ your models, what sort of insurance you need to have, special requirements for models under age 16, etc, etc.
I worked for a large agency and we had an entire legal department just dealing with all of the state regulations because they change all the time.
Your first step is becoming licensed as a talent agent in NY State as well as an employment agency in NY City which has its own requirements

Model bookings are down 40-50% even at top agencies as magazines are closing, advertisers are cutting down on new campaigns, and designers keep pulling out of NY Fashion Week. A number of well-known NY agencies like Karin have closed because the market is already over-saturated with agencies and there is not enough work to support them all. There are rumors that two of the top 10 agencies are going to merge because both are experiencing such severe losses that they cannot continue without a partnership.

I've recently lost 45 lbs.. Feels great BUT I ended up w/flaccid skin on my arms,legs, and belly area! Any suggestions to fix this prob. will help!Any advice on how to reaffirm the skin?
It depends on your age partly. If you're under 30, the skin might tighten up in time. Be sure to exercise and some skin firming lotions (like Nivea) help. If you're older than 30, your skin doesn't have the same elasticity as a younger person does - and it might not be possible to improve it very much without a tummy tuck. A friend of mine who is a personal trainer thinks that weight training can help with loose skin.

thats why u dont use quick fixes for things like pills and surgery ur supposed do exercise daily and eat healthy wich will slowly lose weight but it will help ur body catch up with the loss of fat

Any advice on how to get over extreme guilt?
Had a knot in my stomach for a few days now, feeling nauseous. Was debating whether to adopt a 6 yr old adult tom cat from the SPCA. Felt sorry for him, so I adopted him. Once he was home I noticed his urine was extremely potent and smelly, which ';should'; go away in a couple of weeks. Brought him out a couple times he would scratch our furniture. Our existing cat was acting scared and not purring like her normal self. I felt guilty for my existing cat, felt guilty for adopting the tom cat and not wanting him anymore because he is a great cat. I took him back to the SPCA yesterday after having him for a couple days and feel horrible. Realized I was a ';one'; cat person, I can't handle two. I didn't feel the same towards the tom cat like I did my existing one, I felt a little bitter towards him for smelling up my house and making my current cat act different. How can I get over this guilt of sending him back. Adopting him and sending him back was one of the hardest choices I've had to makeAny advice on how to get over extreme guilt?

All pets like people are not compatible to everyone. That behavior was what placed him/her outside the home in the first place. Too bad you dis try meds but this cat needs special 24/7 attention I think.
Some animals need someone home with them.
Tell yourself the truth, over and over. The truth being, you tried, you did your best, and that cat will be happier living somewhere else in a one cat household. You, your cat and that cat will all do better because of the wise choice you made. Congratulate yourself, you did something hard, but it was the right thing to do! : )

He tore up your furniture (which is not cheap) and he Pee'd your house up with Liquid Sulfur...It's not worth trying to be a good Samaritan if you can't see because your eyes are burning.
