I can't loose any weight and i play sports like 24/7! Any advice on how to loose any weight?

im a freshmen in highschool and sports is what my life is really about. Im in training now to throw the shot and discus in track. I run 1. 1/2 miles every day to try to lose weight and i dont even lose a pound!!I can't loose any weight and i play sports like 24/7! Any advice on how to loose any weight?

Why do you want to lose weight? You sound very in-shape. Odds are you are mainly muscle, not fat. Besides, who wants a waif throwing the shot and discus? They want someone who can gain some momentum! Worry about inches more and weight less. Stay healthy!

Losing weight isnt just about working out, you have to eat right too, so find a good diet regimin and stick to it, no breads, potatoes, or sweets

Well, maybe you are just not losing weight because you are gaining muscle because of your excercise. Have you ever tried a weight loss diet? It is probobly best to make one up yourself, and not listen to those lies about losing weight fast.
cut the carbs.. no breads, pastas, rice, sugar, etc... stick to veggies, meats(lean), salads, fruits (but eat the fruits in the morning several hours before you eat meat or veggies)


you'll drop it so fast your head will spin. one side effect is being very thirsty and the first couple of days you might get a touch cranky. other than that, its all good. oh, and drink water when your thirsty
Switch up your exercises, your body is in a way ';immune'; to running.
Continue running but also focus on ur diet. if u run 1.5 miles and then eat a whole pizza along with ur regular diet then the calories u burnt while running is overtaken by hundreds of calories from the pizza. Understand? The basics of loosing wieght is taking in less than what you put into your body. Analyse your current diet. Try and cut down on fats to no more than say 35-40grams per day. Perhaps go on a lower calories diet about 1800. Drink more water to fill you up. Ur usually lighter in the morning, so if your feeling realli unenthusiastic about ur weight, check it as soon as you wake up! lol.
well i know for discus and shot the more wieght behind you the furthur it goes. to get more muscular eat alot of bread meat and milk then work out alot

Diet and portions are very important you need to watch the fat and calories in the foods you eat. You may also be losing fat and gaining muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. You should go to a family doctor to see if there is something else that could be affecting your weight if it doesn't start to work.
Yeah... it could just be muscle... you might gain pounds... maybe try eating right... no pop or candy. But I'm like 80 pounds and all my friends weigh like 70, but people call me anarexcix (no clue how to spell it) and my doctor said it's mostly muscle.
Stop eating junk food and you will lose weight. You probably eat chips and chocolate and all kinds of junk





Eat whole grains and vegetables.

Keep working out, who cares about the 'norms'.
Not all people that work out and DIEt lose weight. It depends on your body's metabolism. Try to maintain a healthy life by not eating junky food, but you don't need to starve yourself by limiting how much food you eat. Keep trying with persistance and perseverance and when the time is right you'll lose weight. Also stick to healthy foods like veggies and fruits. Also try to eat whole wheat bread instead of old-fashioned or regular white bread. If nothing helps, consult your physcian and see what he/she has to say about your situation.

Dont smoke it really prevents you from losing wieght. Eat healthy but make sure to eat a proper diet, no skipping meals or pigging out. When you eat, eat slowly and dont read or watch tv or anything distracting while eating.


THE trick is to EAT SLOWLY!!
2 words. diet and exercise. sounds like you have the exercise down so watch what you eat.





also, if you do heavy weight lifting, you can usually turn all that ';fat'; into muscle. big body frame= big muscle!
y don't u try to eat healthy? like fruits and vegys....sports don't do everything for ya

If your eating healthy, then you should be loosing weight.
Eat healthy (especially snacks) and keep up the exercise. You are building up muscle and muscle weights more than fat.
The focus is on your gene pool. Talk thin parents have tall thin children... Athletic and muscular etc... Not so bad, learn to utilize what you have... and you have.. Enjoy the fact you can do all that without doing drugs, etc... Keep it up. Love your body, under some fat, you must have great cardio, fitness. Mix cardio with strenuous... watch portions... I have never been thin, but always athletic...Learn to love your body style..
well... think of the way u want to look..and then work at it!


try to switch all the soda u drink to water..and do some situps or something active and talk on the phone at the same time..
