Need advice wanting to learn how to play the guitar?

Hey! I need some advice on gutairs, id like to learn how to play but i feel my expatations will be too high and dunno if im able to stick at it.Need advice wanting to learn how to play the guitar?
You can learn how to play anything you want and compose whatever you want. All what you need to do is put in your years of practice and you can learn.





Also when you first start don't play all the time or for too long of periods at a time. You will get frustrated quickly and your fingers lack calluses so it will hurt. Just try playing a half hour at a time until the songs you learn become easier.





Also starting with an acoustic guitar teaches you better muscle control and accuracy but is harder to play than electric because it takes more pressure to push down the strings, but in the long run it will help you with your technique. But if electric is what you plan on playing then get an electric.

It depends on how quickly you wish to learn it and how thorough... Personally, I've been playing for 7 years... My band is being signed by Missing Words records quite soon! Start out by learning scales, then learn how to derive chords from the scales. Then your variety in music can expand. But if you want quick and easy stuff, just look up tabs on www.ultimate-guitar.com and learn how to play sum songs....
