Where I can find some advice on how to be elegant and fashionable?

Next time that you go to the grocery store, check out the magazine aisle and pick up a magazine like, Elle, In Style, Lucky, Glamour, OR Cosmopolitan. Those are my favorite and they always keep you up on the newest styles and latest trends.Where I can find some advice on how to be elegant and fashionable?
I will be starting a fashion blog real soon. But for now if you have questions you can email me at meaganpw98@yahoo.com or you can visit my 360 page http://360.yahoo.com/meaganpw98.

Holler at me!!Where I can find some advice on how to be elegant and fashionable?
This partly depends on your means and what kind of advice you need. The quickest and easiest would be to retain the services of a Personal Shopper (at a major department store such as Nordstrom). This person can help you identify clothing and accessories that emphasize your best features and help you make intelligent choices that will build your wardrobe.

If the first is not possible, my second suggestion would be to search your locality for a clothing boutique that appeals to you and is in your price range. Talk with the owner/buyer and explain that you would like help building your wardobe and get her recommendations. If you find a clothing line that really works for you, she may be willing to make special orders or may be able to recommend other items.

Finally, sometimes a trusted friend whose taste in clothing you admire is all the help you need. If this person is willing to shop with you and make recommendations (and YOU have to be willing to experiment), you may be able to save some money by shopping in consignment shops and second-hand stores. They often have very good clothing at very affordable prices.

Recognize that there is a difference between what is ';elegant'; and what is ';fashionable'; because fashions change all the time. What's ';in'; this year is ';out'; the next. Identifying your best personal style and owning some classic, elegant clothing is probably a better way to go.

Fashion magazines are mostly advertising vehicles. There are, however, some good books on the subject, such as ';The Lucky Shopping Manual : Building and Improving Your Wardrobe Piece by Piece'; (see link below).
