I need advice on how to make a working model of an airplane, or a replica of a bike?

any relevant web sites can be useful. i have the option of making either a working model of an aircraft or a replica of a bike. so i may need blueprints for that and i will need to know wat materials to use.. like alumenium foil can be used as a covering of a surface to give a metallic look.. for instance the forks.I need advice on how to make a working model of an airplane, or a replica of a bike?
