My father has an unpainted garage floor in Clam Gulch, Alaska (Kenai peninsula). He is debating between a floor paint, and epoxy finish (which will be pretty expensive) or any other alternative. What do you like? What are you happy with? What was disappointing or problematic for you?Unfinished garage floor: advice wanted on how to finish?
I've worked on a shop floor that was coated with an epoxy finish. It was tough and durable and impervious to oil, gas, etc. But when it was wet, it was slippery. If he goes this route, add something to it for texture or traction - sand, maybe?
