In the military how soon would you advice me to buy a car?

I am leaving for Navy boot camp next month (April). My mom really needs a car and I wat to help her out. I have no credit, and this would be my first time being a car. I am also 18. Any advice would be greatly appreciatedIn the military how soon would you advice me to buy a car?
I would recommend buying something within your financial limits. Keep in mind that your first Navy paycheck is going to be little to nothing because of clothing allwances and such being taken out. I purchased my first vehicle from CARMAX, easy, cheap and no hassle prices. I had no credit aswell and financed through my bank. Do your research before spending! Don't forget about insurance. You'll want to make sure she is covered on your policy. Check out USAA insurance once you are in the service. They offer great coverage and low prices to service members. Good Luck.In the military how soon would you advice me to buy a car?
well, it all depends on the car.

my fiance is also in the navy. this is his 9th month of it so far.

he JUST bought a car a few days ago for about 8000 $

and he just got his signing bonus.
If she is going to drive one i would buy one soon but if its going to be collecting dust in a garage for a while then i would wait until you got back
Just don't go buy an escalade and buy some cheap car and you will be fine.
