Does anyone have advice on How to deal with a moody teenage [13] boy?

You need to find out whats wrong. If you can't maybe another member of your family. A friend. He could be bored, love problems, friend problems. He could be dealing with growing pains especially at that age. Don't forget not that we ever think our kids would but drugs, alcohol and peer pressure.Does anyone have advice on How to deal with a moody teenage [13] boy?
I can understand your situation. My son is 12 and has ADHD. His father is not involved. You have to try and reach him. My son has a smart mouth too. As they get older they need space but you show him that your there when he's ready to talk. That is so important. He needs to know.

Yes, wait until he is about 17 and the hormones will stop messing with his brain. I just leave him alone. Let him do his own ';thing'; and wait until he comes to you. Chose your battles, carefully!! Little ones don't mean much when it builds a wall between you that lasts the rest of your lives. 13-16 is the hardest ages that they go through, don't blame him, blame nature, he doesn't like it much either. Let him pull away from you, it's all in the growing up process. He and you will appreciate it later. He loves you, just never forget that...you'll be fine!
hes an emo kid bottom line!

sorry but boys will be boys ! !
That's what they do best. They are at the age where the hormones are kicking in, and the wings are beggining to spread.

Try to encourage him to spend as much time as possible at a friend's house, or consider boarding school. It isn't a solution, just gets him out of your way for a few years.

Good luck, and stay brave. It won't be long now until he's off to university.
